Our Wi-Fi network names explain
The Wi-Fi network name displayed on your device is also known as an SSID. The Glide network available at your accommodation will normally appear as Glide, or as a combination of Glide_Signup and Glide_Resident.
Use the guide below to make sure you select the correct network.
Which Glide network should I use?
Glide
Use this network if it is the main Glide network available at your accommodation.
Connect to Glide, then open a web browser. You should be redirected to the Glide welcome page, where you can create an account or sign in to an existing account.
Glide_Signup
Use this network to register when both Glide_Signup and Glide_Resident are available.
Connect to Glide_Signup, open a web browser and complete the registration process. You will then receive a unique three-word network password for the secure Glide_Resident network.
After registering, forget Glide_Signup or turn off automatic connection to prevent your device from reconnecting to it.
Glide_Resident
This is the secure network to use after completing registration through Glide_Signup.
Select Glide_Resident and enter your unique three-word network password. Keep this password safe, as it is personal to you and your account.
If you have forgotten it, check the registration email you received after signing up. If you cannot find the email, contact the Glide Service Desk for help.

Other networks you may see
Glide_2.4
Some accommodations use a separate Glide_2.4 network. This provides a 2.4 GHz connection, which is commonly supported by older equipment and smart devices.
If your device can only see Glide_2.4, use this network.
Eduroam
Eduroam is an international roaming service that provides students, researchers and education staff with secure network access when visiting participating institutions.
Eduroam may be broadcast using Glide equipment, but it is not managed in the same way as the Glide networks. Read our Eduroam guide for more information.
Troubleshooting
Select the issue you are experiencing to expand the troubleshooting steps.
Some older devices may need updated Wi-Fi drivers to connect at newer Wi-Fi 6 sites. See our Wi-Fi 6 guide for more information. You can also check the Service Status in the Glide app to see whether a known incident is affecting your accommodation. Read more about network incidents in our outage procedure guide. This may be accompanied by an authentication error, an incorrect-password message or the network immediately showing as Saved without connecting. For additional checks, follow our complete Wi-Fi loss of service troubleshooting guide. Once registration is complete, your device should use Glide_Resident rather than remaining connected to Glide_Signup.I cannot see any Glide Wi-Fi networks
I can see the network but cannot connect
My device keeps reconnecting to Glide_Signup
